Extending Miracles

Lesson 43; God is my source. I cannot see apart from Him.

I awoke this morning feeling very angry. I was angry about many things all of which seem to be keeping peace from me. I wrote down all of the things I felt angry about as a sort of "list". I wasn't sure why I was doing this, but I felt like I really needed to. I was angry about certain situations and at certain people. I was believing in separation and thus experiencing fear.

Then I read todays lesson.It said "perception is not an attribute of God". If God does not percieve, but rather only KNOWS then anger is not an attribute of God because anger comes from wrong percpetion. God only knows me and all of my brothers as ONE. He knows us only as LOVE. How wonderful! I am so grateful that He sees me Truly. I am so grateful that God does not perceive but rather knows only Love. This is what I want - to remember and know only Love and not the illusion of separation.

The lesson also says that for any seeming distressing situation I should say today, "God is my Source. I cannot see this apart from Him.": So, for everything on my "list of anger" I quietly repeated "God is my Source. I cannot see this apart from Him." And for each seeming person that I was angry at I would say, "God is my Source. I cannot see you apart from Him.:

I also felt more peacefulness as I repeated phrases like "I see Truly through the eyes of forgiveness." "The Holy Spirit shows me only a world of Light." " I see the world as blessed." "I see only my own Real thoughts, which are Gods thoughts of Love."

Finally today I also said regarding my seeming "anger situations" which now seem more like Lessons in Forgiveness, of which I am grateful: Holy Spirit, how do you see this? I open my mind to Your healing perception. I see innocence where I once saw guilt. I see peace where I once saw reason for anger. I give these situations to Him and say "I can hardly wait to see the good that comes from this."

To help me release this anger, I visualized the Silver Violet Flame filling this paper. I saw this silver violet flame "erasing" this anger from my body and all karma associated with it. I saw the silver violet flame going into all of these situations, erasing the anger there and releasing it into the Light of God. Holy Spirit then takes my hand and leads me to that quiet, peaceful ocean of love where I can completely let go and Let God. I let go fo my anger, my belief in separation as well as my belief in being a body with a personality. If I have no body, personality or seemingly separate things and people in my "life" then how can I be angered or upset in anyway? My Holy Brothers are One with me. Dreams cannot hurt our Reality for dreams are not real.

Then, I crumbled up the paper and burnt it in my fireplace. I felt lighter and freer for the rest of the day. *And can you believe it, when I crumbled up the paper I got a paper cute. But I told myself, "Dreams cannot hurt me. As Gods Holy Son I exist in eternal peace and ulitimate well-being."

Lesson 41 of A Course in Miracles Workbook: God goes with me wherever I go.

The only reasons why I seem to experience loneliness or fear of loss, worry, depression, helplessness, misery or suffering at any time in my life is becauase I do not see that "God goes with me wherever I go." If I really remembered that God is always with me, that He is who I am, how could I possibly experience any of these things? But I sometimes do, so I must not remember Him or my Real Self.

The problems that I perceive to be, simply aren't. In Truth I have no problems. In this world of fear I believe that I have problems only because I think that I am separated from God. But God has ensured that my existence is still in Him, forever. It is not any other way. I am not alone and I am not full of the attributes I sometimes give myself. I am problem free in truth! And if I want to experience peace in my so-called outer world, I must go to the cause which is in my mind. If I see chaos and disorder in my mind, then that is what my life will be like. However, if I see and remember the Peace that I AM, I experience more peace in the so-called outer world. I know this is true because so many times I have gone to Him who can show me the Truth in all situations and He brings me absolute peace - he brings me the awareness that I am peace and so are my brothers. Thus, my life becomes more peaceful because it is a reflection of my remembering Heaven. And the "opposite" happens as well (in truth it doesn't actually happen at all) - when I choose ego thoughts I experience more pain because I am perceiving my brothers and God as being separate from me.

Today I choose to laugh at the fear thoughts that are in my mind - indeed these thoughts are not real! Only the thoughts that I think with God are real. Only Love is Real. Love is. God is. I am eternally safe in Him. I choose thoughts of Love now. I choose to open up to Gods glory and as I let go of the dream. Glory to God. Amen.

Lesson 39: My Holiness is my salvation.

In this lesson it says that "No one needs practice to gain what is already his." I obviously do not fully believe and am not fully aware that "I AM". In truth, practicing A Course in Miracles isn't really about "gaining" what is truly mine, but REMEMBERING what is mine. That is why the course is here - to help us in the process of awakening. It is inevitable to awaken because in Truth we already are.

This lesson also says, "You cannot give what you do not have." If I do not believe that my holiness is my salvation, how may I offer this to my brothers? And if I percieve that I can save myself and no-one else then I cannot be saved because it is in OUR holiness in which I am saved.

*Note: right before writing this blog entry I saw a tiny hand pointing towards the screen. This little hand was on the actual computer (not an image in the computer). I believe it was one of my Faery Guides, a Gossammer Winged Fairy. As of late I have been writing about these Faery Beings including how they are our Sacred Brothers and how some of these Gossammer Winged Fairies have transcended beyond all seeming realms, worlds and deminsions into the Heart of God - their True Self (much like Jesus and other Ascended Masters have done).

Extending Miracles

Lesson 35: My Mind is part of God's. I am very Holy.

I obviously do not see myself as Holyall the time or else I would experience only peace all the time. But, Holy Spirit shows me that this is True and I sometimes feel it and know it to be True. In a way of course I know it to be true but subconsciously I do not. That is why I am so grateful for the course as well as for the Holy Spirit for reminding me of who I am. It sinks in more and more each day that I practice receiving and extending miracles. It sinks in more and more as I read A Course in Miracles and allow my mind to get quiet and go to that still and peaceful place inside that is always there - that is me. Because I am not yet fully awake, I still perceive myself to be living in this world and quiet often I perceive myself to be OF this world. But I am only OF God.

In this lesson it says, "You will believe that you are part of where you think you are. That is because you surround yourself with the environment you want. And you want it to protect the image of yourself that you have made." So I beleive that I am part of this Universe, this galaxy, this world, this country, this state, this county, this town, this home, this family, this body, this personality, etc. I am actually surrounding myself with the environment that I want. And because I feel guilt over seemingly separating from God I have created projection and thus I "want" a world of separation. This also reflects the events that are occuring in my life. I have actually made-up my life story by "siding" with the ego. It's really only when I choose to see all through the eyes of Love that my life reflects His peacefulness. Holy Spirit shows me peace because I have allowed Peace to enter my mind (thus yesturdays lesson "I could see Peace instead of this.").

This lesson also says, "The image is part of this enviornment. What you see while you believe you are in it is seen through the eyes of the image. This is not vision. Images cannot see." How powerful and perception transforming! I created an image of myself as a body, living in this house with "these people" in "this world" on "this realm", etc and then I believe that the image of myself can actually really see. But all there is to see is Love and Oneness and if I am not seeing this, then I am not seeing at all. If my mind is not in a state of peacefulness, reflecting only thoughts of Love I am also actually not thinking at all! Only Gods thoughts are Real.

Today I want to let go of all of the ego-attributes that I have given to myself, all of which are NOT true to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to show me my Real Self. What is my Real Self Holy Spirit? What am I really? Where am I? I exist in the Mind of God. I am Love and Love only.

Extending Miracles

Lesson 32: I have invented the world I see.

1. What does this lesson mean to me?

I am not the victim of the world I see because I have invented it. In this lesson it says that "You can give it up as easily as you made it up." Well it doesn't seem all that easy to give it up. I have so many attachments to "the things of this world" but they are complete illusions! In the course it also says, "When you want it you will see it; when you no longer want it, it will no longer be there for you." I know this is true because I have experienced moments where I decided that I no longer wanted a particular thing or type of situation in my life and it eventually goes away (as soon as I really let go of it). I no longer see or experience that type of thing. The opposite has also happened where I would say I wanted something to no longer be a part of my life yet subconsciously I still wanted it (such as drinking soda or when I used to smoke cigarrettes). And people sometimes reflect upon what they are grateful for in this life and thus they continue to have and experience more of those things. So it should be my goal to give up the illusions - to no longer want it. And then to desire only God - to make God my one and only goal. I am so grateful that in truth God is what I really want and that even if I sometimes think I want something else it is inevitable that I will attain Him! I will realize my True Self!

This reminds me also of addictions - whenever someone has an addiction to anything they are really craving Love. When a drug addict wants more drugs, what he is really craving is Love even though he or she is not aware of it. It's the same with addictions to alchohol, food, caffeine, sex, cigarrettes, etc. We all really want love and sometimes we get confused and think it's something else that we want - only to find that that thing we are craving isn't really what we are truly craving. I believe that the 12 Steps program works for most people who are commited to it because it helps them to also reconnect with their source. And God is the absolute source of all of what we want as well as what we actually are!

2. How can I apply this to my life?
Today I will to remember that I have invented the world I see (inner and outer). I will also ask Him to show me this world as He sees it and ask Him what He would have me do, where He would have me go and what He would have me say. I will to receive a miracle and to extend this miracle to all of my brothers.

Extending Miracles

Lesson 31: I am not the victim of the world I see.

1. What does this lesson mean to me?

I really wish that I would have read this lesson early in the morning like I normally do. On this day I was awakened early and was not able to spend time with the lesson as I normally do each morning (hmm sounds like another "victim" story). I put myself in a "victim" kind of inner-behavior almost the whole day until I came home and read the lesson. I was believing that I was a victim of "many circumstance". I am not the victim of the world I see because I invented this world (whether it is the "outer" world or the "inner" world) and it is simply not real. But I am also determined not to blame myself for any seeming errors, but rather to accept myself and my brothers for the Love that we truly are.

On this day I was watching my mothers "rude behavior to me" and thinking that I was a victim. I was thinking about how my ex and his family stole my things from me and making myself a victim. In one moment I was holding my crying daughter and thinking about how I wish someone were with me to help take care of her instead of being a single parent and thus I was seeing myself as a victim again. Then I was seeing "victim-hood" in others too by listening and believing their stories of being victims whether being victims of a sickness thats "going around" or of other peoples "bad behaviors." Wow not a very fun way of looking at the world or myself. It did not make for a very great day either until I read the lesson and finally went to the Holy Spirit. He showed me that I am not a victim of the world I see. The world as I see it (as the ego sees it) is simply not real. God did not create victimhood - it simply doesn't exist. He created only Love and we are that Love that he created! He also showed me that my sacred brothers cannot be harmed or sick at all because it is not Gods will that we be harmed or sick. Only his Will is true and He wills for us to experience perfect peace and well-being - indeed we are peace and well-being. How could it be any other way? How could we be anything other than perfect Love if that is where we have come from? God isn't stupid or cruel. He is all loving!

2. How can I apply this to my life today?

Today I went to the Holy Spirit and asked him to heal my thoughts of "victimhood". I asked to see as He sees. I was so glad and happy that he showed me the Truth.

February is a great month to introduce you to the Romance Angels. Since Valentines Day is just around the corner I was guided by these angels to write a little about them and to include a great romance angel meditation that will help you to bring in more romance, loving energy and beauty into your life. The Romance Angels come in different shapes and sizes. There are the larger romance angels, such as the Archangel Haniel who is the guiding angel of romance, Love and beauty. She oversees romantic relationships, family relationships and even our relationships with friends, co-workers, customers, bosses and community. She helps to ensure harmony between all people in various relationships. All that you need to do to receive her assistance and guidance is call upon her and ask her to serve as a "guide" in all of your relationships. She can also assist you in having and keeping positive energies in your home (which helps to keep peace between family members and those who come to visit).

With romantic relationships she also guides the couple with spiritual growth, emotional well-being, as well as keeping the "flame" lit in the relationship. She can give you guidance and better understanding regarding your romantic relationship. If you ever need help or assistance regarding romance, she is a great angel to call upon. She can also help to infuse you with a newfound sense of romantic feelings for your partner no matter how long you have been together and visa-versa (it will only really work with a partner who is willing to experience romantic feelings for you).

Other Romance Angels include the baby angels who are often called The Cherubim. It's my understanding that there are baby angels, though it is very rare that people see these angels. We have all seen images and paintings of these little angels in artwork and many wonder "why would angels look like little babies and children?" It is my belief (from what these angels are communicating to me) that these angels manifest into this form to remind us that we are all Gods holy children and that the love, innocence and presciousness of little children is the closest replication of our true self here on this Earth. Jesus said, "Be ye as little children" meaning remember your innocence and presciousness as the Holy Child of God existing only as Love in the Heart and Mind of God. All is forgiven. We are still innocent and free.

One story of these baby angels came from one of my friends who told me that when her father was a young boy, he had seen these little baby angels! His mother was very sick with a fever and he was feeling afraid for her. All day he would check on her, even though he was much too young to really be able to help her. At one moment when he went to check on her he said that he opened the door and saw two small golden staicases on each side of his mothers shoulders. These staircases reached "all the way to heaven" he had said. His mother was asleep and he could see little baby angels walking up and down the staircases. He knew that they were healing and helping her! Not too long after he had seen them, his mother felt completely better and no one could fully explain why. However, he knew why.

So, these little baby angels can help us in a wide variety of ways. The Romance Angels that are baby angels often carry little golden bows and arrows, much like what some say Cupid looks like (with golden hair as well). But these arrows shoot arrows of Love and romance. They don't "make" someone fall in love for that interferes with our Free Will. However, they can give us "shots" of love and romance, infusing us with these wonderful, delightful and very often healing energies. They can also help us to experience more beauty within and around us as well as to experience more playfulness, happiness, cheerfulness and a sense of wonder and awe.

As a Valentines Day Present feel free to try the following Romance Angels Meditation:

Visualize yourself sitting on a beautiful beach. Now imagine that you are wearing loose, comfortable clothing. Feel the wind blowing gently in your hair and the sun shining gently on your face. Visualize a beautiful glowing white light completely surround you. Know that you are safe and protected. In this quiet, gentle place you can let go and Let God. See a golden light above you, shining down on you. Let this beautiful golden light wash over you and wash through your body. Feel this light lifting you up and releasing you from fear . . . anger . . . sadness . . . loneliness . . . and feel yourself becoming lighter and happier.

To the right of you walks a beautiful, large female angel. She has sparkling pink wings and a pink aura. She radiates a beautiful and amazing glow around her. As she is walking closer to you, feel yourself embracing her loving energy. She says to you, "I am the Archangel Haniel. I bring you many gifts.:

As she stands beside you, she reaches up into the sky and brings down a glowing ball of white light that also has a pink glow around it. She says to you, "This is a representation of Gods all loving energy. This ball of light will assist you in remembering your existence as Love and nothing else." She asks for your permission to place this ball of light into your heart center, your heart chakra and you gladly say "Yes." As she places the ball of light into your heart center, feel yourself embracing Gods all encompassing Love. Breathe this Love in. Allow some time to allow this Love to fill your entire heart and mind.

Now Haniel reaches up into the sky and brings down a smaller ball of light that is sparkly pink. She says, "If you desire a romantic relationship in your life, this ball of light will help you to vibrate with the higher energies of romance, beauty, peace, cheerfulness, playfullness and awe." She asks for your permission to also place this ball of light into your heart center. You gladly say "Yes" and as she places the pink sparkly ball of light into your heart center you feel playful, romantic energy filling your heart and your entire body! You feel joyful and gladdened that you now are vibrating with this higher energy!

Just now, the baby angels begin to surround you and they shower you with sparkling pink light which lifts you up. They ask you to visualize your romantic partner as being with you on this beach (If you have no romantic partner as of yet, they ask you to simply imagine what this partner may look like and to acknowledge that he or she is on the way - the form doesn't matter as much yet, but the feelings and intentions do). They begin to also shower your partner with this sparkling light energy. They are blessing your union and infusing it with love, romance, joy, peacefulness, playfulness and mutual respect.

Now visualize yourself holding hands with your partner as you stare off into the beautiful tropical sunset. Imagine that the sunset is glowing the most beautiful golden and pink light energy. Now slowly look over at your partner. As you both look into each others eyes. Say to him or her, "I acknowledge you as the Light and the Love of God. We are ONE. We are Love and Light and nothing else." Now imagine that together you look up at the beautiful sunset and together you begin to pray, "Dear God, please bless our relationship. We pray dear God that our relationship may be used for your healing purposes. May we see each other as we truly are and work together to release our beliefs in separation. Thank You God. We Love you and we acknowledge your Love for us and our existence as Love in Your Holy Mind. And so it is. Amen."

Now slowly begin to bring yourself up out of your meditation, looking about the room. Thank the romance angels for their healing, loving and joyful energy!

Lesson 28: Above All Else I want to see things differently.

1. What does this lesson mean to me?

Everyday I still perceive things as separate from me. I see a table, a chair, a television, a heater, a body, another body, a lamp, a clock. a hand, a laptop, etc. I am seeing separateness and I am not seeing truly. This lesson is so very important because it reminds me that I want to see all of these "things" differently. I want to see God. I do not want to see a chair and then a table and then whatever else may appear to be "separate" from me. I want to see my Oneness with God and all that is. In this lesson it says, " You see a lot of separate things about you, which means you are not seeing at all." This is why Jesus said "They are blind and cannot see." I am not seeing the truth but I have the means to be able to see the Truth and for that I am truly grateful! The Holy Spirit can show me the truth if I am only willing to see. That willingness can bring tremendous peace and joy. The lesson also says "When you have seen one thing differently, you have seen all things differently." This means that it does not matter what I am looking at because all "things" are One. When I am able to let go of my past thoughts and preconceived ideas about that "thing" (which is Forgiveness) and when I allow my mind to be OPEN to what It Is and what it is really for then I receive a true Miracle. I have to really let go of the meaning I have given that thing and open up to it's real purpose and meaning. In the lesson it says, "Hidden under all your ideas about it is it's real purpose, the purpose it shares with all the universe." I do not know what it is for, but Holy Spirit does.

2. How can I apply this lesson to my life today?

Today I can repeat to myself, Above all else I want to see _________________ differently. And I can ask Him to show me how to see, if I am so willing to truly see it differently - and he will show me the truth.

3. Message from the Holy Spirit

You will see all things differently, for it is inevitable that you will see all things truly. For all things are One existing in the Mind of God. This, you know to be true. And you know yourself to be the Truth. Continuing your daily practice of receiving and extending miracles will bring you closer to this truth on the level of "time." But truly you will reach your One and only goal because it is God's Will. And so it is.

4. My message to the Holy Spirit

Thank you so much Holy Spirit. I truly want to see all things as You see it.

Lesson 21 of the workbook in A Course in Miracles
“I am determined to see things differently.”

Last night I as I was dreaming (in a sleep mode) I dreamt about my ex and his family. They have been withholding from me everything I own (such as family pictures, personal journals, copies of my unpublished Faery book, furniture, appliances and more), as well as stuff that is my daughters (her crib, clothes, blankets, toys, etc). I have done everything I can think of to try and persuade them to give me my things back, and it has been suggested to me to report it as stolen to the police (it is of course stolen). I have been doing certain visualizations where I visualize myself receiving my stuff back easily, quickly and effortlessly because I really don't want to go to the police.

As a student of A Course in Miracles I have also been practicing continuously giving this to the Holy Spirit. But, whenever I give it to Him I end up pausing and then "taking it back", thinking in the back of my mind, that if I give it to Him I might not ever recive my things back. I think, "Is it Gods Will for me to see that I am not "things" and therefore I must learn this by having my "stuff" taken from me?" Oh boy what in the world am I thinking? I guess I am thinking with the ego and not with the Holy Spirit. I have basically been choosing to identify myself as a "person with things" that were "stolen" and therefore making myself seem like a "victim". I have also been playing out this role that what God wills for me is not happiness or not what I want. I had terrible dreams last night about the anger that I have been holding against my ex and against his family. Wow. I didn't think there was that much anger there.

I was so very grateful and happy to read today's lesson, which is Lesson 21: I am determined to see things differently. This is so very true. I am determined to see things differently. I am determined to see this entire situation differently. I do NOT know what it is for. Holy Spirit does know. I am determined to see my ex differently. I am determinded to see my ex's family differently. I am determined to see myself differently. I want peace. I want the peace of God. I do not really want "stuff" or "things". I really want the peace of God. I really want to see the innocence, love and light in all of my brothers and in myself. I want to truly forgive and see truly. And with the Holy Spirit as my guide, it is inevitable that I will. It is Gods Will that I experience perfect peace and happiness. He did not create me as separate from anyone or anything. I am One with God. I am One with Love. I am Love! And so it is

Radiating Perfect Health and Well-Being

In A Course in Miracles the Holy Spirit reminds us that the only purpose of the body is to extend Love. A Course in Miracles says, "Health is the result of relinquishing all attempts to use the body lovelessly. Health is the beginning of the proper perspective on life under the guidance of the one Teacher Who knows what life is, being the Voice for Life Itself." - Text Chapter 8; VIII: 9 and 10 -

In order to experience perfect health and well-being, which is your true inherent nature, you must see the body as He sees it. Experiencing perfect health and well-being, is to know that the body only seems to be here in order to help you to extend Love to all of your brothers. This is the bodies only purpose. The body has no function in itself alone because the body, as perceived by the world, is not real. Every cell in your body is really a thought - your body is the result of thought. Today we are going to infuse those thoughts with Light, so that your body, which is a collection of thought, is aligned with the mind of God. In other words, we are going to work with Him to release all thoughts that are not true, and align ourselves with only the thoughts of Love. These thoughts of Love are Gods thoughts and they are the only real thoughts that have any real effect.

Try the meditation below to help you to experience the radiant, perfect health and well-being that God Wills for you:

Allow yourself to relax and let your breathing become slow and deep . . . read the following slowly in your mind . . . and visualizing the following . . .

I now go to that quiet place within my mind . . .

I now see an ocean of Light within my mind . . .

I feel Love vibrating within and around this Ocean of Light . . . This ocean of Love . . .

I allow myself to feel perfectly peaceful and at ease, surrendering any and all thoughts and feelings associated with discomfort to the Light of God within my mind . . .

I now see my thoughts and feelings moving away from me, like clouds slowly moving behind me as I begin to embrace the sunlight . . . embracing the Light of God . . . watching as the clouds, the thoughts, dissapate into the nothingness that they really are . . .

I feel myself to be One with this Ocean of Light and Love . . .

Now I say the following prayer:

Today I surrender my thoughts about this body to the Holy Spirit. I pray to see my body as He sees it. I ask Him, "How would you have me use my body today? How may my body help You to extend Love to All? What would you have me do today Dear God? What would you have me say and to whom?" I now see that every cell in my body is infused with Light. I am willing to let go of all of my thoughts that are focused upon the past. I give all of these thoughts to the Holy Spirit, who is the Voice for God always existing in my mind. I surrender them into His loving hands. I surrender all of my thoughts and beliefs, conscious and unconscious, to Him who sees all Truly. I ask to see my body and my life anew. I pray for a Miracle, a change in perception.

Now I return to the Ocean of Light and Love . . .

Every cell of my body now radiates with the Light of God . . . My body is a collection of Light . . . I no longer see my body as separate from me or anyone else . . . It is Light and Love Eternally . . . I am One with this Light and Love . . . I am Light and Love and nothing else.

My Holy Self by, Adrienne Dumas

My Holy Self is pure Love. I am Eternal and True. I exist as Love in the Heart of God.

In this new year of my life I choose to see others as the Love that they are instead of seeing them as ego personalities. My new values include being kind and gentle with myself and others because I have come from kindness and gentleness and this is what I choose to radiate. I now pay more attention to the vibrations that I am sending out/vibrating and I work to shift my vibrations when appropriate so that I a may be aligned with Gods vibrations of Love, Light, Peace and Joy.

I now spend more time in the mornings with GOD and the Holy Spirit. I now share ACIM's lessons and healing insights with others (who also practice ACIM's and any who are willing and want to listen) and I practice recieving and extending Miracles everyday. I now practice seeing the Love and Light in ALL. I now practice quieting my mind to receive His vision. I now practice true forgiveness daily with the Holy Spirit and I let go of the past as well as my thoughts about the future and I allow myself to be live fully in the NOW.

My new daily behaviors include being more gentle, kind and loving to myself and others. I am also now more focused and present with what I am doing, who I am talking to, etc. The voice for God speaks to me in the stillness of my thoughts while I am fully present in the moment. I now pay attention more to having my thoughts healed and being in perfect alignment with God's Will. I now express my Inner Joy by being a kind, loving and joyful person and having a clean and fun sense of humor.

I no longer hold onto grudges, resentments or thoughts of dis-ease, loneliness, seeming lack, etc. I now see everyone and myself anew. I choose to see as God sees and the Holy Spirit corrects my perceptions. I now experience a life of abundance, joy, peace, happiness, well-being, wholeness and holiness now. I have a very positive attitude about things and life in general, knowing that God goes with me wherever I go. I now radiate beauty and light as I remember that I have come from beauty and light. Heaven is my True Home.

This new year of my life will be as God Wills it - perfectly happy, peaceful, healthy, abundant, joyful and miraculous.

And so it is.

Lesson 8: My Mind is Preoccupied with Past Thoughts

What does this lesson mean to me?

"No one really sees anything. He sees only his thoughts projected outward." -ACIM's-

Even when I am looking at a flower, I am not really seeing it. I am thinking about - unconsciously - my past experiences with flowers. I am thinking about how it felt to touch this type of flower, how it smelt, who once picked these flowers for me, my favorite artists that draw images of these flowers, or my experiences with flower Faeries (all from the past). Wow. Where did the flower go? I am not really seeing it. Even the act of naming something is to believe that it is separate from me and to name something also has everything to do with our past. On my own I cannot grasp the present, which is the only time there is. I was thinking about my daughter and the moment she first "appeared" in this world. Was she fully in the present? I honestly believe that she was probably thinking about being in the womb (her past) and perhaps when she was in the womb she was thinking about a past life or her past experiences on The Other Side. We reincarnate, have different realms and deminsions to go in and out of all because we believe in time. But only the present moment is real. To think about the past is to think about illusions. When I am thinking about the past or anticipating the future my mind is actually BLANK because the mind is not thinking about anything at all. Many people talk about living in the present moment and others say to visualize a better future but in truth there is no future at all. There is only now. Any thoughts about a "future" or a "past" are insane thoughts.

The lesson today is to help me to recognize when I am not really thinking at all. Only the thoughts I think with God are real and any thoughts that are not focused on the PRESENT ETERNAL REALITY are not real. And while all of these sensless thoughts are occupying my mind the Truth is being blocked out. This is why it is so important to still and quiet my mind. This is why it is important to ask Him, the Holy Spirit who is the voice for God, to align my thoughts with Gods thoughts - which are my only true thoughts. No matter how vividly I may picture a thought (with physical eyes or in my mind) I am not really seeing anything. Only the thoughts that are aligned with God are true and it is only then that I am seeing Truly.

Quantum Physics is showing us that the world as we see it is a result of our thoughts - a result of our thinking. The course goes even further into detail as to show you that your thoughts are almost always preoccupied with the past - so everything that you "see" is actually the past. It tells us that only when your thoughts are aligned with Gods thoughts, which are your only real thoughts, are you then seeing truly.

How can I apply this Lesson to my life?

I seem to be thinking about ____________________________.

When I find myself really mind wondering and feeling not in the present moment at all, I can repeat to myself "I only seem to be thinking about _______________." I must be very specific and name every thought so as not to be discriminate. "I only seem to be thinking about my magazine. I seem to be thinking about getting my things back from Matthew. I seem to be thinking about my daughter watching a cartoon. I seem to be thinking about writing this journal entry.I seem to be thinking about my mom. I seem to be thinking about feeling worried. I seem to be thinking that I have so many thoughts.

But my mind is preoccupied with past thoughts.

Message from the Holy Spirit:

If you really want to see a flower, then you will see past thoughts. However, if you want to see God you will see the flower as LOVE and nothing else. A flower, a human-being, an animal, a planet, a galaxy, a universe -- it is all the same. When you name something you are seeing the past. When you perceive anything to be outside of you you are seeing wrongly. All is Love. All has always been Love and will always be Love, existing only in the Eternal Present Moment.

My Message to Holy Spirit: Wow thank you so much for this and for todays lesson.

Today I awoke and was thinking about getting my things from my ex-boyfriend. He has everything that I own, and stuff for my daughter and I woke up feeling angry and anxious to "get my things back." Then, I read today's lesson. Lesson 8 of A Course in Miracles workbook: My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts. I also read the following quote: “Look gently on your brother, and behold the world in which perception of your hate has been transformed into a world of love.” (T-26. V.14:5)
I have been seeing my brother wrongly. I have been looking at him as a separate entity, someone who wants to or "is" hurting me. This is not the truth. He is Gods Holy and Precious Child existing as Love for Eternity. We are One Love in the Mind of God. And because we exist as Love in the Mind of God RIGHT NOW I cannot possibly be hurt and I cannot possibly hurt another. I was also perceiving my "things" as separate from me - but my "things" are really only thoughts about "my past" which doesn't exist. I have also been believing that I am "lacking". But I cannot lack anything because the truth is that I am One with Gods Infinite Abundance. I now choose to let the past go and embrace Gods Vision. I give to him all of my thoughts and feelings associated with these insane thoughts and I ask that I may see this clearly. I pray for a Miracle. I ask for His Guidance and that His Will may be done. I no longer wish to see the world as a place of hurting one another. I desire to see only the True World, which is Gods World of Love. This is my true Home. This is my true Beingness. Amen.
